With the rise of water above danger level at Sirajganj point of the river Jamuna, the community people in Sirajganj district started receiving flood warning on their cell phones.

According to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC), the water level of the river Jamuna at Sirajganj is flowing over danger level and this warning is now being broadcasted in Sirajganj district through “Cell Broadcasting Technology”.

Under this initiative, if anywhere flood is imminent, people who are at risk will start receiving broadcasts of the early warning on their mobile phone screen.
